About

Inchy is an independent publication about the practical mechanics of living with ADHD. It exists because most ADHD content answers questions at the wrong altitude — general advice about focus and motivation, when the actual problem is that the laundry has been in the machine for three days and starting it again feels impossible.

What we cover

Specific situations rather than broad themes. Why a task you fully intend to do does not get started. Why five minutes and an hour feel the same. What to do about the pile of unopened post. Each article addresses one situation and tries to be genuinely useful about it.

How we work

Inchy is research-led. Claims about ADHD, executive function, or anything clinical are traced to primary sources — the National Institute of Mental Health, the CDC, CHADD’s National Resource Center on ADHD, peer-reviewed literature, and the published work of named researchers such as Russell Barkley and Thomas Brown. Where a widely repeated claim cannot be traced to a real source, we leave it out rather than repeat it. Our full editorial policy sets out the standard.

What Inchy is not

We are not a medical provider and we do not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We do not publish invented personal stories, composite case studies, or testimonials. Nothing here is a substitute for speaking to a qualified clinician who can look at your whole situation.
